The Dekabrinka pear, under selection number 73-33-65, was obtained by domestic breeders when crossing a selected seedling of the Ussuri pear from the Limonovka Issykkulskaya family and Forest Beauty with an elite seedling under number 143. Famous and experienced breeders became the authors of the description of the variety E.A. Falkenberg, M.A. Mazunin, and L.I. Bolotova.

Pear: variety selection
Taste and beneficial properties of fruits
The pear of the Dekabrinka variety has undeniable advantages, among which there are excellent taste characteristics of fruits that fully ripen by the end of the second decade of September and retain their presentation and taste for three months.
The main purpose of ripe fruits is the use of products both fresh and for the purpose of technological processing. Fully ripened fruit pulp contains:
- dry soluble substances - a little more than 15.55%;
- indicators of total sugar content - at the level of 9.5-9.7%;
- titratable acids - not less than 0.65%;
- ascorbic acid - a little less than 8.8-9.0 mg per 100 g of pulp.
Due to the low calorie content, which is not more than 58 kcal for every 100 g, the benefits of pears for baby and diet food are invaluable. The pear pulp is characterized by a balanced content of sucrose, glucose and fructose, rich in folic acid, pectins, nitrogenous substances, carotene and catechins. Pear contains a rather high content of vitamins P, E, B, A and C, as well as substances necessary for the body in the form of manganese, cobalt, iodine and potassium.
The benefits of pears in folk medicine have long been known. It has an antitussive and disinfectant, antipyretic and diuretic, as well as fixing effects on the body.
Harvest dates and fruit storage
The fruits of the late autumn pear called "Dekabrinka" are perfectly preserved for three months and do not lose their presentation and taste indicators, subject to the harvesting technology and storage mode of the crop. They have excellent indicators of transportability.
In order to reach the stage of consumer maturity with the collected fruits, the harvest of late autumn varieties needs a storage period of at least two weeks. Only in this case the flesh acquires the characteristic taste, juiciness and aroma characteristic of the variety. Fruits taken at the stage of technical maturity are used for processing.
The temperature regime is a very important factor that regulates all the processes that occur in the fruits at the stage of storage of the crop. At a lower temperature regime, the ripening process of fruits slows down and the consumption of sugars, acids is reduced, the development of pathogenic microorganisms is weaker. The optimal indicators of relative humidity for the full preservation of the crop are about 90-95%.
Gardeners reviews and tips
A pear called "Decembrinka" is praised by gardeners. Good reviews were received by the variety due to the relatively high drought tolerance.
Pear Bacterial Burn: Ways to Combat
According to the experience of growing under the conditions of home gardening, no gall pear mite lesions and a disease such as scab were noted. Judging by the description of the variety, the Dekabrinka pear can be safely attributed to the group of high-yielding, characterized by smooth and regular fruiting.
